Cirencester Park Polo Club Hosts Equestrian Event

Horse lovers were in for a treat on 31 July, as Cirencester Park Polo Club held a huge equestrian day.

Punchline Gloucester reports that the Ladies 18-Goal final is always an exciting event, and after enduring the COVID-19 crisis of the past year, Cirencester Park Polo Club secured talented dressage rider Anne Marie Bork-Eppers to perform a freestyle music dressage show, as well as a demonstration from The Retraining of Racehorses chastity.

The event was hosted by Desi Dillingham MBE, the founding chairman of British Dressage, who spoke about the demonstrations, and there was also a range of trade stands with excellent shopping opportunities for all.

As well as being an international dressage rider, Anne Marie Bork-Eppers runs a successful training and livery yard in the park.

Before the event, she said: “I am delighted to have been asked to perform with our horses at the CPPC as this is a place we love to come, and I hope we can inspire people to understand and appreciate both dressage and the versatility of thoroughbreds.

“I work on producing dressage horses up to Grand Prix and retrain racehorses, both of which requires a lot of patience and dedication. Our stables in Cirencester Park provide the perfect setting for a varied day for the horses, and I hope you will enjoy watching them as much as I’ve enjoyed producing them!”
