Rajasthan Polo Club Opens New Horse Riding School In Jaipur

The famous Rajasthan Polo Club (RPC) has announced the opening of an updated horse riding school in India.

The Sawai Man Singh Polo and Riding Academy has been created to train horse enthusiasts in polo, riding and other equestrian sports in Jaipur.

Times of India reported that it was the idea of celebrated polo player Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh, hence its name.

Following an extensive revamp, the riding school will now be able to provide lessons for children over the age of six.

It will also be able to train those who want to go into professional equine sports, including dressage and jumping, as well as polo.

According to the RPC website: “The comprehensive training program focuses on developing equestrian skills, fostering horsemanship, and instilling a deep appreciation for the art of riding.”

As well as offering great facilities for those living in Jaipur, the academy, which is open between 0630 and 0800 and 1730 and 1900, is attracting interest from people all over the country and also abroad. This includes countries as far afield as Singapore.

A press conference was held at the RPC earlier this month to announce the opening of the school.

The Federation of International Polo Ambassador of India, Maharaj Narendra Singh, secretary of the RPC Digvijay Singh, joint secretary of the RPC Vikramaditya Barkana and coach Allan Michael were all in attendance to celebrate the event.

This news is great for those living in Jaipur, but for horse riders interested in polo lessons in the UK, there are many training schools closer to home.
